In accordance with the NFPA 2001 standard on Clean Agent Fire Extinguishing Systems, at least once every 12 months, an “enclosure protected by clean agent shall be thoroughly inspected to determine if penetrations or changes to the room have occurred that could adversely affect agent release or change the volume of hazard or both.”
Although fan testing is a necessary part of the initial acceptance test for a new clean agent system, testing of these spaces should be performed yearly. Changes made to the protected space, after the system has been installed, could diminish your system’s performance during an actual emergency.
To keep costs at a minimum, Northwest Fire Suppression will complete the Room Integrity Test (Enclosure Test) annually in conjunction with one of the semi-annual inspections. Our trained technicians can confidently measure the leakage of an enclosure and provide an accurate retention time based on that leakage.
All reports will be forwarded to the owner/contractor for review and future use.
